Hazel and I met quite by accident through a mutual like of the 'Lord Roberts on the Green' instagram page, and the fact I work with her godsons girlfriend - a small world indeed!
Hazel was at the stage of looking to relaunch her life coaching website, which most definitely requires fresh headshots and promotional images to encapsulate your brand and most importantly personality!
So we set a date!
Hazel wanted suitable portraits that represented her approach to her life coaching business, professional yet friendly and a reflection of the women behind the business, a genuinely lovely person.
Whilst with Hazel, I asked a few questions around what a life coach is and who can benefit from a few sessions with one...see her responses below...
What is a life coach?
A life coach is someone who has the skills and life experience, to help others to clarify their goals and work out their steps to reach those goals
My niche in the life coach world is to help women become the best version of themselves.
What is the difference between life coaching and counselling?
A counsellor deals with the emotional side of things and often goes into the past, as far back as childhood. Whereas life coaching is much more future focused.
What made you want to be a life coach?
I've always like helping people and passing on knowledge, I really like working with individuals and seeing them break through the blocks holding them back from reaching their full potential. It's very rewarding helping someone who is stuck, get unstuck.
What are the benefits of life coaching?
I think everyone should have a coach, regardless of wherever you are in your life. A life coach gives you the support of someone and having someone help you put a different perspective on things can really help you move forward much quicker than if you tried to do it alone.
What sorts of people benefit from life coaching?
Anybody. Anybody of any age, but particularly people who feel they aren't heading in the right direction in life, or need someone to help them define how they reach their goals.
