"Leave the stresses of life behind, and unwind in the rustic tranquillity that is Oaks Farm. Just 10 miles from London and a stone's throw from Croydon and Bromley, this idyllic wedding venue is set against a backdrop of rolling hills, with two acres of stunning cottage gardens."*
Summer seems such a long time ago...and such a long way off.
This leads me to reminisce about the gorgeous wedding of Aneti & Roger, we shot last summer at the stunning Oaks Farm in Surrey.
The venue is a favourite of mine because it has the most stunning outdoor space and tons of character, making it PERFECT for a summer wedding.
Natural light - every photographers dream - is in abundance and each section of the picturesque grounds is dreamy and whimsical, seriously, what more do you need?
Your guests can enjoy the hum of the gardens around them, if you choose the Arbour to hold your ceremony which in the summer is enveloped in Wisteria.
They do have the option for an indoor ceremony, which can be held in the Stable Barn, easily decorated and a fine backdrop in case of a sneaky summer rain shower.
This wedding was my first where the ceremony was set outdoors.
Thankfully the weather played ball and as you'll see below, it was a perfect summers day. The colours popped and everyone was glowing not only from the occasion itself but the buzz of life around them and natures apparel.
The wisteria covered Arbour provided a soft shade for the speaker and bride and groom, sparing any distracting glares on the photos or squinting faces in the album.
Im pleased to say I am mentioned on their recommended photographers list that features on their website.
I would highly recommend Oaks Farm as a venue for your wedding, not only for a summer date but all seasons they will perfectly cater for. Please do check out their page and see for yourself.
