Having your own engagement session

January 26, 2018

For 2018, I am offering FREE engagement sessions for any couples who book my photography services for their wedding day.

I strongly recommend an engagement photo session with your photographer as it is an excellent oppotunity for the couple and photographer/s to build upon their rapport.

This in turn helps to relax the couple - and sometimes even the photographer! - making for the big day to be even more enjoyable and most importantly, natural looking photographs.

What to expect

Laughter. Giggles. Smiles.

Don't worry if the first 15 minutes or so feel unnatural or awkward, unless you're used to what may feel like a paparazzi session it will take you both time to relax and feel a bit more at ease.

This is one reason I like to bring props, not only do they look great and add a little something - BUT they also give the couple a distraction.

As I mentioned above, props are great for distracting or removing feelings of awkwardness for the couple.

They also add a touch more personalisation to each shoot, I like to encourage the couple to think of things that mean something to them as individuals or as best friends, which they can pose with, have in the background or somewhere featuring in a few of their images.

I am happy to accommodate props, which I am slowly and steadily building a supply of, because I know most, if not any couples will have lingering in their homes - a large picture frame, rose gold love balloon, or coloured smoke grenades.

Lets just say these I have to hand and will try to have involved, but,  of course, only if you like the style a particular prop brings to your photo session.

Thanks again for reading and keep checking back for things both wedding and non - wedding related!
